March 19, 2012

Facility improvements are moving ahead and I’d like to provide you with some highlights of what has been accomplished so far and what to expect over the next week:

Planned for this week (March 19 – March 24, 2012):

  • Communication with NiCor continues to present challenges to the overall project.
  • The new addition to Building 3 has been enclosed and the underground plumbing, sewer, and electrical work have been completed.
  •  The new addition concrete floor will be poured in stages this week.
  • It has been determined that sections of the roof in Building 3 must be replaced.  Bids have been received and a determination is pending.
  • A new well is needed to provide water to Building 3.  Drilling will begin this week.
  • Most of the interior painting has been completed.
  • Electrical rough-in is occurring in the existing areas of Building 3.
  • Work has begun in the Building 3 Waiting Room area and drywall will be installed.

While there may be some inconveniences during the construction, please know that we are working daily with Glenn Johnson Construction to minimize any disruption to the people that we serve.  We are looking forward to the new environment this will bring!  Please call me at 847-540-3727 with any questions, and thank you, in advance, for your patience.
