Supporting Organizations

Countryside Foundation has provided funding for many major capital improvements for remodeling and renovations at both facilities, new vehicles, computers, and other major office equipment, as well as for the Association's employee retirement fund.

The Friends of Countryside Center are comprised of parents and other supportive colleagues of individuals enrolled in programs at Countryside Center. They provide a meaningful support system for each other since many share the same challenges. These FRIENDS give many hours of their time:

  • Assisting staff at special events such as recognition dinners, client dances and picnics, and on community outings.
  • Volunteering at the Center's Markets, the on-site snack shops.
  • Holding fundraising activities such as selling Christmas wreaths/ropes & Spring flowers , participating in "Shop and Share" programs at local grocery chains, and supporting other Countryside fundraising programs.

Helping Hands for Lakeside is a group of dedicated community volunteers with a common goal to support Lakeside Center. Support is in the form of raising funds for client activities and facility needs as well as providing volunteer support for special events and ongoing services at Lakeside Center.

Clipped Wings - O'Hare Chapter is a group of current and former United Airline employees that has taken Countryside Association "under its wing" for many years. They have supported all of Countryside's fundraisers, as well as holding their own events to raise additional monies. This generous group also assists with various events for the clients throughout the year.
